Parenting a child with special needs can be both challenging and rewarding.
Understanding your kiddo's unique needs is crucial for providing the best care. For children on the spectrum, recognizing their individual strengths and challenges is key to offering meaningful support and fostering growth.

Understanding Your Child's Unique Needs
Parenting a child with special needs can be both challenging and rewarding.
Understanding your child's unique needs is crucial for providing the best care. Each child is different, whether they have autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, or another condition. Recognizing their specific strengths and areas for support is essential.
Building a Support System
Early Intervention
Act Early, See Results.
Early intervention is crucial in supporting your child's development. The earlier you begin addressing developmental challenges, the more effective the outcomes can be. Early intervention provides the necessary tools and strategies to guide your child through critical developmental stages, helping to build a strong foundation.
Educate Yourself
Knowledge is power.
Educate yourself about your child's journey and the best ways to support their development. There are numerous resources available, including books, online courses, workshops, and professional consultations. Being well-informed enables you to make better decisions for your child's well-being.
Advocate
Be Their Voice.
Advocating for your child is one of the most important roles you play as a parent or caregiver. By actively participating in your child's care and education, you ensure that their needs are understood and met. This might involve working closely with therapists, educators, and medical professionals, or standing up for your child's rights in various settings.
Self-Care
Take Care of You, Too.
Caring for your child is a full-time job, but it’s important to remember that your well-being is just as crucial. Self-care allows you to recharge and stay resilient, ensuring that you can provide the best support for your child. Whether it’s taking time for yourself, engaging your community, or simply practicing mindfulness, prioritizing your well-being benefits both you and your family.
Celebrate Victories
Every Step Counts.
Progress is a journey, and celebrating small victories along the way is vital for both you and your child. Each milestone, no matter how small, represents a step forward in your kiddo’s development. Recognizing these achievements strengthens your bond and helps build your child's confidence, motivating them to continue working towards their goals.

Tell us what your priorities are. Be specific. "Communication" is too broad, but "I want him to understand the meaning of 'no'" is spot on. Rank the list. We will advise, incorporate, and sometimes provide alternative suggestions.

We begin with a comprehensive initial assessment that includes standardized tools and observations to evaluate your child's skills, behaviors, and needs. Additional assessments are conducted along your child's journey to ensure that the quests are always relevant and appropriately tailored.

What types of settings do you offer Behavioral Therapy in, and how do they differ?
We provide ABA therapy in various settings, including in-home and school-based. In addition, we are accepting sign ups for full-time center-based care starting in 2026 based on the identified needs of our clients. In-home therapy allows for a familiar and comfortable environment, while school-based services involve collaboration with educational staff. Center-based therapy allows for a greater variety of exposure and more specialized care options. Telehealth is great for supervision and a convenient option for parent sessions.
