About IEP Consultation

Take the guesswork out of securing necessary resources for your child. Navigate the IEP process with confidence to ensure consistency of care and progress.

We work closely with educators and school staff to develop and implement strategies that align with the child’s individual needs and goals. Our experienced team will provide resources, join school meetings, and support the creation of your child's IEP.

Why is IEP Consultation
Important?

Consistent Across Environments

Children make the most progress when everyone is aligned. We collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure your child's goals, routines, and development programs work together—not against each other.

Tailored Development Strategies

We ensure your child’s IEP reflects who they really are, not just test scores. Our experts identify missing supports, recommend evidence-based strategies, and help the school tailor learning to your child's needs.

Clarity Despite Complexity

The IEP process can be complex and overwhelming. We help you understand evaluations, services, accommodations, and your child’s legal rights, so you feel confident walking into every meeting.

What to Expect From
an IEP Consultation

1. Review & Assess
2. Parent Conversation
3. Customized Recommendations
4. IEP Meeting Preparation
5. Meeting Attendance

Review & Assess

We begin by reviewing your child’s existing evaluations, IEP documents, progress reports, and teacher notes. We identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen the plan and support your child’s success.

Parent Conversation

Next, we meet with you to understand your concerns, priorities, and real-life experiences at home and school. We listen deeply and help you clarify what you want to advocate for. This session ensures we are aligned on what's best for your child.

Customized Recommendations

Our team provides clear, actionable recommendations for services, accommodations, goals, and support your child may need—including what’s missing or underdeveloped in the current plan.

IEP Meeting Preparation

We coach you through what to say, which questions to ask, and how to stand firm in your child's interests. Parents walk into meetings feeling calm, informed, and ready.

Meeting Attendance

If desired, a Unity expert can attend the IEP meeting with you (virtually or in-person), helping advocate for your child directly and ensuring the team stays aligned on evidence-based support.

After the Consultation

Our support doesn't end when the IEP meeting is over.

We're here to help you navigate implementation, answer questions as they arise, and ensure your child's plan translates into real classroom action. If adjustments are needed or new challenges emerge, we'll guide you through the next steps — so you never feel alone in advocating for your child.
