FAQ
Why do you offer free assessments and consultations?
We founded Unity Behavioral Services because of the poor results from educational institutions and therapy centers alike. We made a promise to ourselves, and to each other, that we will help every child that we come in contact with. So even if they do not engage our services, we can give parents peace of mind and a clear direction about how they can best support their child.
What services do you offer?
For a comprehensive list, see this link. Parents most commonly engage Unity Behavioral services based on our proven experience in child development. For children under 12 years old, Unity Behavioral's programs are shown to advance children by as much as 1-year ahead of their equivalent aged peers. Regardless of service, every program is individualized for the child and/or parents we are supporting.
What does "individualized" mean?
In order to ensure optimal development, it's critical that the education is fun and unique. This means that everything from the path we take to the outcomes we achieve are predicated on the specific child. Standardized education doesn't work in practice, so we will curate a journey which ensures your child enjoys learning and achieves to their fullest potential.
How involved are parents?
We hate that parents are kept from their child's care. Parents have unlimited access. Regardless of service, each family will receive a detailed write-up and a curated plan of action every step of the way. Should they choose, parents are able to supervise all interactions with their children. This ensures accountability and that parents have understanding of how to support their child's development.
What is "Ikigai"?
Ikigai means a persons "reason for being". When the journey and skills we develop are in line with our Ikigai we learn at a much faster rate. It's a Japanese concept that sits at the heart of our work. Ikigai serves as a reminder of the responsibility we have to parents and the children we serve.
Why focus on Behavior?
Behavioral health is the foundation upon which all development sits. We have a curated approach to ensure that each child leave's Unity Behavioral's care with the necessary social skills to ensure continued progress. If humans know how to engage with the world, then our potential for joy and wisdom is unlimited.
